Basketball Coach Videotaped Young Boys In Locker Room: Cops

Investigators looking for an Ohio basketball coach's alleged child pornography stash uncovered video recordings of 24 boys showering in the high school locker room where he's employed, cops said.

Jackson Township police and U.S. Postal Service workers served a warrant at 46-year-old Scott Studer's home to look for child porn, according to the Time Reporter. Investigators said they came across a hard drive that contained several videos of minors from Jackson High School showering naked.

He would position the camera on the boys in the shower area and then he would take that camera home with him, download the images to his hard drive, then take the camera back," Jackson Township Police Chief Dave Zink told NewsNet5.

All 24 boys in the videos were identified, and police are working to contact all of their parents. Police said there's no immediate indication that the videos were disseminated.

Studer was arrested and charged Thursday with six counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material. It was his 27th season as a basketball coach for the Jackson High School polar bears. He was reportedly liked by the students, though local radio shows described him as an outcast among staff, NewsNet5 reported.

His lawyer, James Haupt, said his client maintained his innocence and that the charges are only allegations at this point, according to the Associated Press.

Studer quit his job on Wednesday. He's currently being held in lieu of a $2 million bond.
