A New Kind Of Amish Is Heading To TV

"Breaking Amish" may not be airing this winter, but the mafia is prepared to fill its void.

This December, Discovery will debut "Amish Mafia," a series which takes a look inside the secret lives of the men whose job it is to protect the Amish people and culture.

"Amish Mafia" centers on Lebanon Levi and his right-hand man Alvin. Not trusting U.S. law enforcement, Levi takes on the role of police, judge and jury for the Amish people of Lancaster, PA. He specifically works to "keep outside forces from infiltrating the Amish community, while keeping the principles and morality within the community in check." Other members of the mafia include Jon and Jolin.

"Amish Mafia" will makes its debut on Tuesday, December 11 at 10:30 p.m. ET on Discovery before before moving into its regular timeslot on Wednesday, December 12 at 9 p.m. ET.
