It was a happy week for Violet, the terrier mix stolen from the San Francisco SPCA last month.
Officials said Wednesday that the adorable brown and white bundle of joy had been found safe in Hayes Valley by an SPCA adoption center employee. Violet was spotted walking with a woman, Sonya Espinoza, who was then arrested for drug possession. Police have yet to figure out how she obtained the puppy.

Violet has since found a happy home with a local couple, who adopted her two days after her return to the shelter.
"We are overjoyed that Violet is safe and happy," Jason Walthall, SF SPCA co-president, said in a statement. "We are very grateful to the public for their concern and vigilance, which helped us bring her home. This was a terrible crime that could have harmed Violet both physically and emotionally."
Violet had originally been brought to the SPCA as a stray after a good samaritan found her alone in a garbage can.
