Betty White Getting New 2013 Birthday Special On NBC

Betty White Is Getting Another TV Birthday Bash

Betty White is having another 90th birthday TV celebration. The "Hot in Cleveland" and "Golden Girls" star is getting another birthday party on NBC, according to TV Guide.

NBC will air another birthday special honoring the star with appearances from celebrities who missed out on last year's extravaganza. A "more tongue-in-cheek approach" can be expected, according to TV Guide. Some of last year's guests included Mary Tyler Moore, Carol Burnett, Jennifer Love Hewitt and taped messages from President Barack Obama and Tina Fey. A request for comment from NBC was not immediately returned.

The January 2012 special, "Betty White's 90th Birthday: A Tribute to America's Golden Girl," was a ratings success for NBC. The televised birthday party had 13.9 million viewers and a 2.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

In addition to her televised birthday special, 2012 saw White get a wax figure, a life-sized edible cake and a baby orangutan named after her "Hot In Cleveland" character.

But White took it all in stride. "I'm having the time of my life and the fact that I'm still working -- how lucky can you get? I'm 90 years old and still able to work as much as I do," White told HuffPost TV. "That's a privilege."
