Christina Applegate is still coming to terms with her double mastectomy after battling -- and beating -- breast cancer in 2008.

In the November issue of More magazine, the "Up All Night" star, 40, admits she didn't have much time to heal following the surgery, which led to her "total emotional collapse."

“I miss my exquisite breasts sometimes,” Applegate says, referencing a line from the 2004 comedy “Anchorman.” You know, this one: “Mr. Harken, this city needs its news. And you are going to deprive them of that because I have breasts? Exquisite breasts?”

But although she's still a jokester, Applegate has never stopped dealing with the pain from her fight with cancer.

"The good thing is that we got the information out, but talking about the facts of the disease, I didn’t have to see what was going on with me. I think when it slowed down, all that came crashing down," she explains, admitting her diagnosis was shocking.

"I was just shaking and then also immediately, I had to go into 'take-care-of-business-mode' which included a change to a more healthy diet," Applegate says.

But nowadays, she's learning to live with her smaller chest, considering there are much more important things in life -- including her 1-year-old daughter Sadie Grace with fiancé Martyn LeNoble, who helped her heal.

"We had always cared deeply for one another when we were friends," Applegate tells More of LeNoble. "And he came and put me under his wing. That was it –- he was supposed to come."

As for having more children, Applegate reveals that might not be in the cards for her.

"Because of some things that happened during my pregnancy, I don’t know if I can," she confesses. "I hope I can. We’ll see."
