Cissy Houston, Bobbi Kristina: Whitney Houston Inheritance Challenged

Cissy Houston Fears For Bobbi Kristina's Life

Cissy Houston fears how a multimillion dollar inheritance will impact 19-year-old granddaughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, sources tell TMZ.

The website reports that insiders close to the 79-year-old mother of the late Whitney Houston say that she feels that the $20 million Bobbi Kristina stands to inherit from her mother's estate could put her life at risk, citing "negative influences" like father Bobby Brown and boyfriend Nick Gordon. Gordon, who is also Bobbi Kristina's adoptive brother, recently tweeted a disturbing photo of himself brandishing a gun while driving a car.

The claim appears to be supported by the recent legal action Cissy and sister-in-law Marion Houston have taken as executers over Whitney's estate. The pair recently filed a petition to revise Brown's inheritance payments, writing that: "[Bobbi Kristina] is a highly visible target for those who would exert undue influence over her inheritance and/or seek to benefit from respondent's reources and celebrity."

The petition also shows that the trust's "spendthrift provision" was set up to "provide for the proper maintenance and comfort of the respondent, and to prevent the wasting of trust assets."
