Ruben, a young chimpanzee that was left without a suitable caretaker after his mother died, has found a surrogate family at the Oklahoma City Zoo. The chimp has been taken in by Kito, a female chimpanzee that has served as surrogate mother to others in the past. Check out pictures of little Ruben here.

Deep below the surface of the Atlantic, researchers have discovered a new species of acorn worm that bears a resemblance to an iconic "Star Wars" character. The Yoda worm (Yoda purpurata) "has large lips on either side of its head region that reminded researchers of the floppy-eared 'Stars Wars' character," explained OurAmazingPlanet.

An orangutan in Indonesia named Pelangsi is being prepared for release after recovering from an amputation earlier this year. The ape was successfully rescued this spring, but has spent several months in rehabilitation after his arm was amputated in May. Rescuers had found him trapped in a snare.
