Ugly Bridesmaid Dresses Purposely Picked For Wedding Party By 'Bridezilla'

Is It Fair To Put Your Bridesmaids In Hideous Dresses?

Bridesmaid dresses aren't usually the most fashionable pieces of clothing on the planet (remember Katherine Hiegl's character modeling all of her hideous gowns in "27 Dresses?").

But what if the bride knowingly went out of her way to choose the most unflattering frocks for her gal pals to wear on her wedding day?

One anonymous bride aired her dirty little secret to CafeMom's "Coffee Shop Confessions" last week, saying she'd purposely picked ugly dresses for her maids because she doesn't "want to be upstaged by anyone, especially my bridesmaids, who are all really pretty."

The self-identified "bridezilla" says she sought out "really unflattering dresses." The bride described the dresses as "ill-fitting" and "poorly made," dooming her bridesmaids to look like disasters while walking down the aisle. Watch the video above to see her dress pick.

If you end up saddled with an ugly bridesmaid dress, wedding planning expert Colin Cowie says that there is a way to respectfully tell the bride what you really think of the gown. And if you can't escape the ugly dress, there are always ways to reuse it.
