'Sins & Secrets': Former DJ Killed For Inheritance

Money can drive people to do terrible things, and it was pure greed that fueled the tragic story of Steven Williams, at one time a very popular DJ in Denver, on "Sins & Secrets." When Stevens' father passed away, he left his son and daughter with a disability an estate worth more than $2 million.

Harvey Morrow, who'd befriended Steven while he cared for his ailing father, claimed to be an investment banker and former friend of Steven's father. So Steven allowed him to invest the inheritance for him and his sister. But Morrow was only interested in his money, and began to siphon the money into his own account, according to the Los Angeles Times.

When Williams grew suspicious, he confronted Morrow, who he'd come to think of as a friend. Shortly after, Williams disappeared, with Morrow claiming he'd moved to Florida. Two weeks later, Williams' dead body was found in the Pacific Ocean, and Morrow went missing himself.

Morrow was found in Montana, when his employer at a car dealership -- a former cop -- grew suspicious and did a little research. Morrow was arrested and brought back to Los Angeles where he stood trial. He was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison, plus 25 years.

According to the Long Beach Press-Telegram, Williams' sister was destitute because of Morrow, and even wound up homeless at one point until friends took her in.
