Julie Bowen took home the Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series Emmy for "Modern Family."

This is Bowen's second Emmy win, after triumphing in the same category in 2011. She beat out her "Modern Family" co-star Sofia Vergara, as well as "Saturday Night Live" star Kristen Wiig, "Nurse Jackie's" Merritt Wever, Mayim Bialik of "The Big Bang Theory" and "Desperate Housewives'" Kathryn Joosten, who tragically lost her battle with cancer in June this year.

"My job really amounts to me falling down and making faces while wearing lipstick and nipple covers," Bowen said in her acceptance speech. "The fact that this could be translated into an award ... is a testament to the people that hired me. I'm so lucky to work with a cast and crew as talented as we have."
