Pig Saves Baby Goat From Drowning, Dubbed A 'Hero' (VIDEO)

WATCH: Super Pig Saves Baby Goat From Drowning

UPDATE February 26, 2013: It has been revealed that the clip, first posted in September 2012, is a hoax. It was staged by the people behind Comedy Central series "Nathan for You."

Super swine to the rescue!

In this painfully adorable YouTube video, a baby goat is saved by a plucky little porker.

"Pig saves goat [whose] foot was stuck underwater at petting zoo. Simply amazing," said YouTube user "jebdogrpm" who uploaded the video on Wednesday.

Many YouTube users lauded the heroic hog for its species-blind quick-thinking.

While some users dubbed the animal a "hero" and made references to The Simpsons' "Spider Pig," one fan went so far as to write a poem in homage to the lifesaving piggy.

Some users, however, criticized the person who filmed the video, saying that he stood idly by while the baby goat struggled.

Quit yelling at the cameraman, folks. It might be really hard to get past the fence, and he could get in big trouble. That's why he tried to call an official to help, that's better than nothing. Plus, the goat's head was still well above the water, so the situation wasn't THAT desperate yet.

PETA notes that petting zoos are "bad news" for both animals and humans.

"They subject animals to the stress of transport, alien environments, irregular feeding and watering, mishandling, and crowds of strangers," the animal rights group notes on their website.
