Easy, Flowing Hair Trick At Theysken's Theory Fall 2012 Show (VIDEO)

The Trick Behind This Wind-Blown Hairstyle

I'm probably not alone when I admit to standing in front of the fan as a little girl so that my hair could look wind-blown like Chaka Khan. However, the instant volume when flat as soon as my grandmother made me step away. But becoming a grown-up doesn't mean that you can't get flowing hair without the high-tech wind machines.

Backstage at Theyskens' Theory fall 2012 show, lead stylist Odile Gilbert for Kérastase used a hidden braid trick to achieve hair that "flies when the girl walks." To recreate this look, first section your hair into a half-up, half-down style. Braid a section in the middle, then secure it horizontally with a bobby pin. Let all of your hair down and backcomb to enhance volume.
