American Crossroads Airs New Ad Featuring Small Business Owners Criticizing Obama

American Crossroads, a GOP-aligned super PAC co-founded by Karl Rove, announced an $8.3 million ad buy Tuesday accusing President Barack Obama for hurting small businesses.

"Small businesses like ours are what have driven this country and President Obama just doesn’t seem to understand that," says small business owner Sherry Wuebben.

Small business owner Bill Schams says, "Obama definitely is making things harder for us. If he has four more years, I don’t think we’re gonna want to see what it looks like."

The spot will run in the swing states of Colorado, Florida, Iowa, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Nevada, Ohio and Virginia for a week.

Crossroads GPS, the 501(c)(4) arm of the organization that does not have to disclose its donors, announced Tuesday a $2.3 million ad buy targeting three Senate Democratic candidates and one House Democrat. The ads target Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.) along with Senate hopefuls Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota and Shelly Berkley of Nevada, and Rep. Tim Bishop (D-N.Y.) The foray into the race of the Long Island Democrat, facing allegations of soliciting a contribution from a hedge fund investor who asked for help from his office for his son's Bar Mitzvah fireworks show, is a first entrance for the group in a House contest.

Both groups are expected to spend $300 million this election cycle.
