Minivan Crashes Into House, Injuring At Least 7

A two-vehicle collision on Chicago's Northwest Side caused a minivan to crash into a house Tuesday morning, injuring several people.

A minivan and a sedan were involved in a crash at Devon and Kolmar in Sauganash sometime before 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, CBS Chicago reports. The minivan veered off the road and crashed into a house, and the sedan caught fire after stopping on the same home's front lawn.

The collision woke the house's residents, and four people involved in the crash were hospitalized in serious or critical condition, WGN reports. Three more people were treated for minor injuries at the scene.

Police say the van's driver and passengers were fine on the scene, but serious injuries were sustained by the five men in the sedan, all of whom were between the ages of 20 and 25, ABC Chicago reports. Police say the driver is facing reckless driving charges at a minimum.
