The Best Fraternities: Newsweek And College Prowler Rankings

What makes an incredible fraternity? Is it the amount of parties every weekend? The ability to have a mixer at the drop of a proverbial hat? Or merely the feelings of brotherhood towards men that such societies engender?

In answer to such questions, Newsweek and College Prowler took it upon themselves to rank the very best fraternities in the United States. How did they do it?

To wit:

We first considered the number of active collegiate chapters for each. We also considered the number of alumni who are currently members of the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives, as well as the alumni, if any, who became president. Lastly, we considered the amount of money the fraternity's non-profit fund donated to 501(c)(3) organizations.
