How To Remove Pet Odors From Carpets

'Accidents' Happen...

Even if your pet is well trained, accidents may happen. Eliminating the odor isn't just important when it comes to having a clean home, but also to effectively teach your cat or dog that doing their "business" on the carpet is a no-no. Neutralizing these smells is easy to do by following these simple steps recommended by The Humane Society of The United States.

First, soak up the urine by placing a thick layer of paper towels on the spot. Then, cover that with multiple sheets of newspaper. Next, stand on the padding for about a minute. Then, remove the papers and repeat the process until the area is barely damp. Afterwards, thoroughly rinse the area with cold water. Finally, remove as much of the water as possible by blotting the area dry or using a wet vacuum.
