Mindy Meyer, 22-Year-Old New York State Senate Candidate, Talks Rudy Giuliani And Andrew Cuomo (VIDEO)

WATCH: 22-Year-Old Senate Candidate's First Big TV Interview

Mindy Meyer, the 22-year old Orthodox Jew and self-proclaimed "Diva Of The District" running for the New York State Senate, appeared on Good Day New York Wednesday to discuss political ambitions.

Dressed in what we can only assume is the same hot pink blazer she dons on her flashy website, Meyer tells Dave Price and Rosanna Scotto she was first inspired to enter politics after an encounter with former mayor Rudy Giuliani when she was 11-years old.

Price then bluntly asks, "Why the shtick? Why not run a completely serious campaign?" Meyer defends:

I don't have experience with corruption. My website is predominantly to target my young constituents and to get people out to the voting booths. At this year's presidential elections with more people voting, I just want to show people politics can be exciting and the senate doesn't have to be a senior citizens home.

Meyer is then presented with a series of photos of prominent New York politicians including Dean Skelos and Sheldon Silver, both of whom she doesn't recognize at all.

But surely the budding politician would know of Governor Cuomo, right? Not exactly. Following Meyer's arrival in the political spotlight earlier this week, Capital New York asked her about Cuomo to which she responded:

I'm not familiar with him in particular, his issues and, you know, and everything about him. You're asking me how I would work with him? Yeah, so, I guess I would have to see if I was elected.
