Mini Skirt vs. Maxi Skirt: Lana Del Rey, Kim Kardashian And More Battle It Out (PHOTOS)

Summer 2012 is all about the maxi. The long, flowy skirts are perfect for warm weather: They offer coverage, but are breathable. And, they can be either dressed-up or dressed-down (without fear that it may be inappropriate for work). Kirsten Dunst, Lana del Rey and Rachel Bilson are just a few stars who have been spotted in maxi skirts this spring.

But the mini, on the other hand, isn't going anywhere. Celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Emma Watson and Olivia Munn have been parading the streets and red carpet in short skirts, proving that minis are still a totally acceptable option for a hot day.
