Judy Garland's Style Evolution: From Curly-Haired 'Baby' To Sophisticated Lady (PHOTOS)

Judy Garland's Most Glamorous Gowns

When you hear Judy Garland's name, there's a very good chance that you picture the late actress as Dorothy wandering a yellow brick road in her signature blue and white checkered dress and ruby slippers. However, Garland was quite the style icon apart from her major film roles.

With a career that spanned several decades, Garland always dressed in the hottest trends. Nicknamed "Baby" as a young girl, she wore form-fitting dresses in muted colors and round-toed flats. As her fame soared in the late '30s and '40s, she slipped into strong-shouldered printed pieces and kitten heels. But in the '50s and early '60s, as she focused more on singing, we saw her look really start to mature. Her hair changed from loose curls to a pinned-up 'do, and she favored extravagant accessories, including pearls, feathered boas, and fur stoles. And we are confident that Garland would still stun us today.

In honor of what would be her 90th birthday on Sunday, we're taking a look back at Garland's style over the years. Isn't she one of the most charming women you've ever seen?
