Food Truck Social: Chicago's Favorite Meals On Wheels Join Forces For Charity

Although our options are limited, Chicagoans have made our affinity for food trucks pretty clear, if the frenzied lines around the few that make stops during lunch hour in the Loop are any indication.

On Wednesday, members of Chicago's tiny fleet will circle up in Lincoln Park to help raise money for Rock for Kids, a nonprofit that offers music education to local students whose schools can't afford comprehensive programs.

Trucks in attendance will include La Adelita's truck, Chubby Wieners, Duck n Roll, Starfruit Cafe and the Wagyu Wagon, and 15 percent of all sales will go directly to the organization. Rock for Kids will also be on hand to accept direct donations.

The trucks will be parked in a lot at 1540 N. Fremont, at the corner of Fremont and Weed, where they'll start slinging tortas and duck rolls at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
