Police in Poland have released images of the underground dungeon where a teen was held captive for two weeks before being rescued by authorities early Monday morning.

The 19-year-old, whose named has not been released, was kidnapped and drugged while on his way to school in Poznan, Poland, the Polish news site SE.pl reports. The captors drove to a property in the nearby town of Szamotuly where they imprisoned the teen for two weeks while they negotiated a ransom deal with his wealthy father, a businessman involved in agriculture.

According to The Sun, the captors threatened to kill the teenager if his father did not pay $315,000.

Luckily for the teen, the abductors caused so much commotion on the property that neighbors began to suspect something was wrong and called the police.

"After receiving specific intelligence, officers entered the property where they found the entrance to the hidden underground bunker," Police spokesman Andrzej Borowiak told The Sun. "Inside they found the kidnap victim. Six people have been arrested including two women. The boy has been returned to his parents."

According to the Daily Mail, the teenager was found in a dimly-lit cell holding a rosary and prayer book called "The Road to Heaven."

Borowiak also told the Mail that the teen's kidnapping appears to be part of a larger ransom plot orchestrated by Michal K, the leader of a local car-jacking gang who has been on the run since escaping from police in 2007.

Police raiding the bunker discovered the names of children from wealthy families scribbled on a piece of paper, including the name of the victim. Michal K and five accomplices were arrested and could face up to 25 years in prison.
