Priscilla Presley's Style Evolution: From Army Brat To Rock Royalty

Priscilla Presley Goes From Army Brat To Rock Royalty

Elvis Presley once said,"You can love someone and be wrong for them." The music legend and U.S. Army private was smitten the moment he laid eyes on Priscilla Presley, step-daughter of a United States Air Force officer, when she was 14. They later married in 1967, but Elvis was never able to tame his hedonistic lifestyle. The couple's ensuing romance and divorce have become the stuff of legend, but Priscilla never allowed herself to succumb to the fate of the oft-neglected rockstar wife. Instead, the divorcée became a successful businesswoman and launched an acting career.

Priscilla always seemed to have a hold on her feminine appeal, donning curve-hugging suits in the '60s, plunging necklines in the '70s and strong shoulders in the '80s. In a fortunate twist of fate, the once-mature looking teen blossomed into an adult that doesn't seem to age. Nowadays, the grandmother to model Riley Keough prefers a gothic aesthetic, veering towards rich, dark tones and maintaining a crimson coiffe. In 2008, the "Dancing With The Stars" alum stunned in the brightly-colored, sequined dresses that have become the show's signature, dancing her way into her sixties with the same spark we imagine she had when she caught Elvis' eye in 1959.

As Priscilla celebrates her 67th birthday on May 24th, we're taking a look back at the reigning Queen of Graceland's style over the years. Vote on all her looks in the slideshow below.
