Kelli Bordeaux Missing: Fort Bragg Soldier's Husband Says Marriage Was 'Happy' Before Disappearance

Missing Soldier's Husband Denies Couple Was Estranged

The husband of missing Fort Bragg solider Kelli Bordeuax says that "there was no trouble" between the couple at the time of his wife's disappearance almost two weeks ago.

"We were very happy, we weren't getting a divorce," Mike Bordeaux told Matt Lauer during a Thursday morning interview on the "Today" show. "Nothing was wrong with my marriage."

Bordeaux, 23, was last seen on April 14 at the Froggy Bottoms bar in Fayetteville, N.C.

Her husband added that, as far as he knows, police do not have any new leads in the investigation.

Authorities previously questioned 25-year-old Nicholas Holbert regarding his involvement in the case. Holbert, arrested earlier this week on unrelated charges, was reportedly present at the Froggy Bottoms the night Bordeaux disappeared. Police say that Holbert, a registered sex offender, shared drinks with Bordeaux before giving her a ride home.

"I don't trust anything he says, I don't believe a word he says," Mike Bordeuax said of Holbert on the "Today" show.

The husband says he was in Florida visiting his parents when he wife went missing.

CORRECTION: In an earlier version of this article, Kelli Bordeaux's age was mistyped. She is 23.
