Los Angeles Animal Rescue: 9 LA Dogs In Need Of Homes Today

PHOTOS: These Dogs Need A Home Today

More than 17,000 healthy or treatable animals were killed in Los Angeles shelters last year. And while City Council members and Angelenos come together to make Los Angeles a No-Kill City, there are still tens of thousands of animals that are already in shelters and sanctuaries that need homes now.

HuffPost LA is launching a monthly series where we will feature local animals that are available for adoption. This month we begin with 9 adorable dogs from our local Best Friends Animal Shelter that are in need of a home. For more information on adoption please visit the How To Adopt section of the Best Friends website.

To meet more adoptable animals in person, Best Friends will be at the La Brea Tar Pits for Pet Super Adoption on April 28 and 29.
