Bon Iver's 'Towers' Is A Tribute To Native American Land

Bon Iver released a third music video for his upcoming single "Towers" today. The video follows in the mesmerizingly beautiful, nature-themed steps of their first two singles, "Calgary" and "Holocene."

The video features an older gentleman with a burly white beard and hair who can best be described as a tower builder. It is apparent the man is as weathered and worn as the country side he treks on, his dark eyes a reflection of the ocean he dedicates his towers to. It's hard to say what significance the "Towers" hold for the elderly gentleman, but that is probably the point.

The story and aesthetic is very similar to "Holocene," shot and directed by Nabil Elderkin, of the production house NABIL. Like Iceland in "Holocene," "Towers" is a true tribute to the Native American-preserved land in Washington state where the video was shot.

"Towers" is set to be released March 26, the third single off Bon Iver's self-titled album.
