In another moment that could end up portraying him as out of touch with everyday Americans, Mitt Romney listed not two, not three, but four American-made cars he and his wife Ann own -- including "a couple of Cadillacs" that Ann drives.

"I like the fact that most of the cars I see are Detroit-made automobiles," Romney said during an economic policy address at Ford Field in Detroit on Friday. "I drive a Mustang and a Chevy pickup truck. Ann drives a couple of Cadillacs actually. I used to have a Dodge pickup truck, so I used to have all three covered."

A Romney aide told reporters after the event that two Cadillacs driven by the candidate's wife are SRXs.

The luxury crossover retails new from from $35,485 to $54,525, according to the manufacturer's website -- mid-priced cars by industry standards.

This isn't the first time Romney has spoke about his family's Cadillac collection. CBS News reported on comments the Republican presidential hopeful made in Sept. 2011, during a tour of an Arizona Ford dealership in Sept. 2011.

"See, I'm a Detroit guy, so, you know, I only have domestics. I have a couple of Cadillacs, at two different houses. You know, small crossovers," Romney said.
