Kidnapped Americans Reportedly Released Unharmed

Two American women who were kidnapped along with their tour guide in Egypt reportedly have been released into army custody.

Al Jazeera notes that the individuals were released unharmed a few hours after their capture by Bedouin gunmen.

According to the Associated Press, they were abducted in broad daylight along a busy highway while en route to the seaside resort town Sharm el-Sheikh.

Reuters notes that they were traveling from Saint Catherine's monastery in central Sinai when men armed with machine guns stopped their bus.
