Rapper, singer, and producer Gnash has embraced the power of the internet, and it's paying off. The 23-year-old released his single I Hate U, I Love U (with singer Olivia Brown) online for free, to Gnash's own surprise it went viral, and ended up climbing the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Australian charts. The song was written about a painful break-up. "It was the last message I was going to put out there about this situation and then it turned into this massive thing. It confirmed me as an artist, people know my name. I'm not going to say household, but hopefully the second single will make me a household name."
