The prevailing topic among athletes on Twitter this week didn't vary much from the prevailing topic among, well, pretty much everyone else: Tim Tebow. Indeed, athletes across all sports had something to tweet about the Denver quarterback's performance against the Steelers last Sunday.
The other main topic of conversation in this edition of tweets of the week also related to football: the BCS championship game, the final result of which some people took better than others. For example, A's pitcher and LSU alum Brandon McCarthy described the Alabama fans on Bourbon street following the game as "punchable."
