Reggie Allen Arrested With Stolen Firearms After Jumping Turnstile

Turnstile Jumping Fugitive Caught With Stolen Firearms, Machine Gun

A South Carolina fugitive was caught with two firearms, including a machine gun, after attempting to jump a subway turnstile on New Year's Day.

33-year old Reggie Allen told police he was thwarted from purchasing a MetroCard because he simply could not understand how to use a MetroCard vending machine at the 42nd Street station at Eighth Avenue.

The Post reports that police discovered a befuddled Allen with a ".45-caliber handgun in his waistband and a machine gun in his bag."

According to police officials, Allen stole the weapons in Washington, D.C. and was attempting to resell them on the street. He employs a long list of aliases and is also currently wanted in South Carolina for cocaine possession charges.

Just last week, a fourth-year medical student from Tennessee was arrested after bringing a pistol to the 9/11 Memorial in Lower Manhattan. Meredith Graves now faces a minimum 3 1/2 years in prison.
