Daily futures were indicating a positive start to the day as the children beat market estimates with a 7:15AM wake-up time, beating average quarterly wake-up times by 36 minutes. Last night's bedtime shifted a few minutes later than normal due to good behavior, with bedtime coming in 5 minutes later than the 50-day moving average of 8:30PM. Some analysts would say an 8:30 bedtime could start to trend later as behavior improves, although they have noted that there are numerous risks to the downside.

Breakfast was uneventful which was as expected since the parents introduced new waffles to the routine. There was a small uptick in the bedtime while getting dressed given her resistance to wear pants, but thankfully that leveled out on the way to the park with no real effect on the day.

Bedtime estimates were still steady as we approached lunchtime, although historically this is where we could have seen some volatility. Analysts have noted a strong correlation between the amount of food consumed and length of the afternoon nap, which directly influences the final closing bedtime.

There was a poor performance at this afternoon's lunch when she decided to throw her peas rather than eat them. This lead to the notion that naptime could be cut short due to lack of nourishment. The parents still hadn't stepped in to change bedtime, as they could have been waiting to see how the nap turned out. With that development we had a strong feeling that around the 3PM turn we would see bedtime estimates plummet, which market expectations priced in a 7:45pm close.

After lunch there was a refusal to nap and analysts dropped their estimations by almost an hour to 7PM. She has historically been a strong napper, but we had never seen anything like this. We were even unable to find similar behavioral patterns in the past three years with her Blue Chip older siblings. Analysts were determining if this is an outside day or perhaps a forecast of what's to come in the next quarter.

Fortunately for those invested in a later bedtime, mom gave a light snack, which seemed to deescalate the situation and bedtime estimates began to rebound. Behavior was on par for dinner. The parents eased the market by serving pasta. No one is sure how long these preventative pasta measures can stay in place. They're working for now but analysts fear it could cause a larger bedtime bubble down the road.

By this point in the day the analysts had bedtime set at 7P.M. given there was no nap. Then around 6pm it was looking like she was going to get a second wind and have a bounce back. There were talks of giving a bath to keep her awake but she ultimately fell asleep on the couch around 7:15 P.M., a full 15 minutes later than predicted. We just wonder how this early bedtime will affect tomorrows wake up and subsequent bedtimes to come.
