Albert Pujols To Angels: The Largest Contracts In MLB History (PHOTOS)

The Largest Contracts In MLB History

After being aggressively wooed by the Miami Marlins and then seeming quite close to staying in St. Louis, three-time NL MVP Albert Pujols has decided to leave the Cardinals and sign a 10-year deal with the Los Angeles Angels.

According to ESPN's Buster Olney, the pact is worth a total of $254 million, making Pujols the game's highest-paid first baseman.

However, the enormous contract does not make him the highest paid ballplayer of all time. That title still belongs to New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez, who has signed two of the four 10-year deals in Major League annals.
