Eater Awards San Francisco 2011: Results Are In (PHOTOS)

RESULTS ARE IN: The Eater Awards San Francisco 2011

Feast your eyes, food-fans. The Eater Awards are in.

This year, SF Eater editors nominated culinary candidates for five categories: Restaurant of the Year, So Hot Right Now Restaurant, Chef of the Year, Bartender of the Year and Best Bathroom. (Apparently every contest needs an outlier.) Readers then narrowed the choices to a top three, with Eater choosing the final victor.

Nominees featured some serious talent and fierce competition, pitting chefs like Thomas Keller and Daniel Patterson against each other (only to bow them both to Dominique Crenn), and wagering Cyrus bartender Scott Beattie against Wilson and Wilson's Jayson Wilde. The editors even threw a nod to Charles Phan, giving him his own category: Empire Builder of the Year.

Inevitably, some results are eyebrow-raising (Gitane's bathroom was grievously snubbed.) But all-in-all, we couldn't agree more.
