Anna Kournikova Leaving 'Biggest Loser' After One Season

Anna Kournikova Leaving 'Biggest Loser'

One season on NBC's "The Biggest Loser" was enough for tennis pro Anna Kournikova. She announced she's leaving the fitness show and won't return for a second season.

"I enjoyed my time on the 'Biggest Loser' ranch," Kournikova said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. "Although I will not be returning as a full time trainer on season 13, I will always be a part of 'The Biggest Loser' family and my commitment to bettering lives through health and fitness will continue."

Though Kournikova's training methods differed greatly from Michaels' techniques, she still served as an inspiration for the contestants -- especially Joe Mitchell, who credits the tennis star for helping him lose weight.

"Anna made me believe that I could [lose weight]," Mitchell told PEOPLE. "She drilled in our heads that the only person you can really rely on is yourself."
