What: International Skateboard Film FestivalWhy: The first day of the International Skateboard Film Festival, (which oscillates between downtown's Independent Theatre and Art Theater Long Beach), features a night of 3D skate films and a panel discussion featuring skate movie director Ty Evans. SATURDAYWhat: Dia de Los Muertos at Hollywood ForeverWhy: Dia de Los Muertos, ("day of the dead"), the traditional Mexican celebration of departed souls will fill Hollywood Forever with a day to night extravaganza of 100+ ceremonial altars, music, art, lectures traditional food, processions and a stunning assortment of elaborate costumes. What: Yoga Day LAWhy: LA will get even more limber as yoga enthusiasts from around the city take to the Santa Monica Mountains of Topanga Canyon for a day long celebration of balance, flexibility and sun salutations. The first annual Yoga Day LA aims to bring the city's large and diverse yoga community together for a run of classes from instructors including Kia Miller and Power Yoga's Bryan Kest. There will be food, vendors, a farmers market, free coconut water and music from the Earth Harp.
