The sports world and the entertainment world combined to reach peak Twitter panic last week when Warner Brothers announced a partnership with LeBron James, who will be starring in Space Jam 2. The film is still in the early stages of development and won't be in theaters for a few more years, giving LeBron plenty of time to lose a couple more NBA Finals before filming starts.

Right now the plot is unknown, but we can assume it involves LeBron subtweeting fellow Looney Tunes members and questioning their effort, leading to a divided locker room that will only be saved by "LeBron's Secret Stuff" -- which turns out to be a liquefied version of Mario Chalmers.

What most people don't know, however, is that LeBron wasn't Warner Brothers first choice for the lead of their big budget sequel. In fact, he was pretty far down the list of NBA stars that were envisioned for the role.

Space Jam 2 with Russell Westbrook

In need of a basketball superstar, the Tunes search high and low for Russell Westbrook before finally finding him digging through clothes at a dumpster behind an Ann Taylor's. Russ agrees to play but personality conflicts are making Bugs Bunny consider switching to a new team.

Space Jam 2 with Dwight Howard

Dwight joins the Looney Tune squad, but after a rough first half, he attempts to get his head coach fired. Dwight then realizes that he's also the head coach and has fired himself.

Space Jam 2 with DeAndre Jordan

The Tunes need a big guy with a lot of skill to help defeat the Monstars, so they turn to DeAndre Jordan. DeAndre agrees, but before the game starts, Chris Paul and Blake Griffin travel to cartoon world to tell him this wasn't a good idea and he should come back to LA. The Tune Squad sees its free throw percentage go way up the next game and eventually, the team is happy with the way it all worked out.

Space Jam 2 with Kevin Love

The Tune Squad and its fans are ecstatic when Kevin Love joins their team. But when he shows up, he just kinda stands there and doesn't do much.

Space Jam 2 with Kawhi Leonard - A Silent Film

The Looney Tunes enlist Kawhi Leonard to teach them about basketball, but trouble arises when no one can hear what he's saying.

Space Jam 2 with Klay Thompson

Klay shares his "secret stuff" with the Tunes at practice. The squad then decides to quit basketball and spend time in a basement eating snacks and watching Pineapple Express.

Space Jam 2 with Derek Fisher

D-Fish joins the Tune Squad after every other player and coach turns them down. He immediately gets a little too close to Lola Bunny, causing some serious tension between him and Bugs.

Space Jam 2 with D'Angelo Russell

D'Angelo Russell teams up with the Looney Tunes and shows some promise. But things go south when he gets Daffy Duck to talk shit about his teammates in private, and then shares it with all of cartoon world. Daffy, Bugs and Elmer Fudd never pass it to him again.

Space Jam 2 with Sam Hinkie

Hinkie introduces the Tunes to "The System." He then puts Tweety Bird and Porky Pig in the starting line-up and declines to add any NBA talent. They then lose to the Monstars by 3,000 points and Hinkie says "The System" works.

Space Jam 2 with Boban

The Looney Tunes travel to the ice cave Boban lives in to ask if he would join their team. When he steps onto the court, the Monstars immediately forfeit and run away for their own safety.
