Tsutomu Takeuchi

Dr. Tsutomu Takeuchi is a Professor Emeritus at Keio University and was in charge of implementation of the Hashimoto Initiative. He is the former Chairman of the Japanese Society of Parasitology and of Japanese Society of Tropical Medicine, and has successfully fulfilled various appointments in parasitology and tropical medicine at leading institutions, including the Partnership for Child Development at Imperial College London, Institute of Tropical Medicine of Nagasaki University, U.S. National Institute of Health (NIH), and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
