Tom Hayden is a former State Senator and leader of Sixties peace, justice and environmental movements. As founder and Director of the Peace and Justice Resource Center in Culver City, CA, Hayden remains a leading voice for ending the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Pakistan, and reforming politics through a more participatory democracy. He has authored 20 books, including The Lost Gospel of the Earth (1996), Ending the War in Iraq (2007), The Long Sixties (2009) and Inspiring Participatory Democracy: Student Movements from Port Huron to Today (2012) and the forthcoming, Listen Yankee: Why Cuba Matters (2015)
