Business and economics writer

Theresa writes about the economy, technology, and government. Previously, she spent four years in Latin America as the regional business editor for The Associated Press in Mexico City, and as an economics and government reporter for Bloomberg in Caracas. She first worked as a researcher at ABC News "Nightline" and "This Week,” joining team coverage of foreign affairs and politics for more than two years; and later wrote about immigration, crime, and local development at The Miami Herald. In 2014-15, she was director of Columbia Journalism School's Lede Program in Data Practices, working to launch and grow the school's first certification program in coding and data analysis. She holds a master’s in journalism from Columbia University and an MBA from The Wharton School, where she was a Joseph Wharton Fellow.
