Simon Johnson has worked with the Huffington Post since 2009 and is currently a contributing editor on Fiscal Affairs. He is co-author of White House Burning: The Founding Fathers, Our National Debt, and Why It Matters to You. He is a professor at the MIT Sloan School of Management, a senior fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics, a member of the CBO's Panel of Economic Advisers, and a member of the FDIC's systemic resolution advisory panel. He is a co-founder of The Baseline Scenario. He was previously the former chief economist of the International Monetary Fund.
