Sid Mohn

President, Heartland Alliance

Dr. Sid Mohn serves as President of Heartland Alliance, the premier anti-poverty organization in Chicago and the Midwest. He is responsible for developing and implementing the strategic plan that allows the organization to meet its mission and serve more than 1 million men, women, and children each year in the U.S. and 16 countries around the world.

Dr. Mohn is a trustee of the Adler School of Professional Psychology, and a member of the Chicago Commission on Human Relations, the Consortium for Community Development, and Global Chicago. He is also the Co-Chair and Steering Committee Commissioner of the Illinois Commission on the Elimination of Poverty. A graduate of Temple University, Dr. Mohn received his Master of Divinity from the School of Theology at Claremont, California, and his doctorate from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago. He is a United Church of Christ clergyperson and a member of the Order of Ecumenical Franciscans.
