Ambassador
Syed Azmat Hassan joined the Pakistan Foreign Service as a career diplomat in 1966. He has served in a number of diplomatic postings in Pakistan mission abroad as well as at the Foreign Ministry Headquarters in Islamabad. He has served as Ambassador of Pakistan to Malaysia, Syria and Morocco. He also served as Deputy Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations in New York. After retirement from the foreign service, Ambassador Hassan has taught at a number of universities in the United States including Seton Hall University, Columbia University, Rutgers University etc and at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) where he is currently employed as an Adjunct Professor.
