Robert Hoggard

Director of Fundraising and Membership, Metro Justice

Robert Hoggard is from Middletown, Connecticut. He is an alum of American Baptist College, with a Bachelors of Arts in Theology and concentration in Community and Non-Profit Leadership. He is a graduate student at Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School. He preached and participated in missionary work in Saint Thomas, Anguilla, Saint Kitts, Antigua, Barbuda, Dominica and Trinidad. The Chi Boule Social Action scholarship, funded through Sigma Pi Phi, gave Robert an opportunity to start American Baptist College's Chapter of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) as the Founding President.

Longtime activist, Medal of Freedom Award recipient, Rev. Dr. C.T. Vivian told him, “I wish I was doing some of the things that you were doing in undergraduate school, while I was in undergraduate school in the sixties.” Robert has appeared in the USA Today, the Associated Press, the Washington Times and the Tennessean for his work with the historic Southern Christian Leadership Conference, which was founded by Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
