Robert Ball

Robert Ball is the CFO and Executive Vice President of RapidBuyr, a B2B daily deal site dedicated to providing millions of small and midsize businesses (SMBs) with opportunistic access to discounts on higher dollar products and services. As a seasoned entrepreneur and lawyer, Robert was involved in the early stages of online commerce, helping draft some of the early federal and state legislation that facilitated the advent of online e-commerce. Robert also spent five years at Akamai Technologies, Inc., the global leader in Internet content delivery, during which he served various executive positions including V.P. of International Operations where he grew Akamai’s revenues internationally fourfold to an annual run rate of over $50 million in under two years. As Akamai’s General Counsel, he directed their legal and risk management efforts through its start-up phase, $234 million I.P.O. and rapid expansion.
