Rabbi Mike Rothbaum serves as Bay Area Co-Chair for Bend the Arc: A Jewish Partnership for Justice, and lives with his husband, Anthony Russell, in Oakland. He has spoken and taught widely at conferences and rallies, from Moishe House to the House of Representatives. His writing and speaking has been featured in the Forward, Tikkun, the Huffington Post, KQED radio, CNN, and Zeek.
Rabbi Mike has received accolades for both spiritual and educational programming, and has done extensive work with faith-based social justice organizations, including T'ruah, AJWS, Network, and the Interfaith Criminal Justice Coalition.
When not spending late nights at the synagogue, his interests include fair wages, Bob Dylan, and manual transmission.
