Author IN DEFENSE OF SELFISHNESS: Why the Code of Self-Sacrifice Is Unjust and Destructive; Distinguished Fellow at the Ayn Rand Institute

Peter Schwartz is a former chairman of the board of the Ayn Rand Institute, and is now a Distinguished Fellow there. He is the author of In Defense of Selfishness: Why the Code of Self-Sacrifice Is Unjust and Destructive (Palgrave Macmillan); Libertarianism: The Perversion of Liberty (ARI Press); and The Foreign Policy of Self-Interest: A Moral Ideal for America (ARI Press). He is the editor and contributing author of Ayn Rand's Return of the Primitive: The Anti-Industrial Revolution (Meridian) Mr. Schwartz, who received an M.A. in Journalism from Syracuse University, is also the founding editor and publisher of The Intellectual Activist, a periodical on political, cultural and philosophic issues.
