Nancy Carriuolo

President of Rhode Island College

Dr. Nancy Carriuolo has been president of Rhode Island College since July 2008. Her wide-ranging experience includes employment by the New England regional accrediting agency (NEASC), consulting at the University of Qatar, positions in business, as well as service as a department chair, dean, and academic vice president. She serves on the boards of Crossroads Rhode Island homeless service organization, the Veterans Memorial Auditorium performing arts center, the Tech Collective technology industry association of Rhode Island, the Association for Authentic, Experiential and Evidence-Based Learning, and the Journal of Developmental Education. She has authored over thirty publications, including three essays in the Chronicle of Higher Education. Her Ph.D. is in Research and Evaluation from SUNY Buffalo.
