Nan Levinson is a writer and journalist, covering military and political issues and antiwar activism, most extensively in her recent book is War Is Not a Game: The New Antiwar Soldiers and the Movement They Built. She also reports on culture, technology, and free expression, the last in her previous book, Outspoken: Free Speech Stories, and as the U.S. correspondent for Index on Censorship for several years. She teaches journalism and fiction writing at Tufts University.
