Muffy Walker

Mental Health Professional, Advocate, Mother and Traveler

Muffy Walker is the chairman and co-founder of the International Bipolar Foundation. She is also a mother of a son who struggles with Bipolar Disorder. She holds a Master’s of Science in Psychiatric Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania, an MBA with a focus in marketing from the University of California-Irvine, and has worked in the mental health field for over 18 years. Walker spends much of her time and energy championing the mission by increasing public awareness and raising funds for those with mental illness. She also founded NeighborHelp, a non-profit dedicated to helping the under-privileged.

Walker was named a Salvation Army Woman of Dedication and a YWCA Tribute to Women & Industry (TWIN) honoree and Visionary Award winner. She is the recipient of the International Mogens Schou Award for Public Service, Toastmaster’s Table Topics winner, Bagnell Award for Excellence in Philanthropy and the Rancho Santa Fe, CA Auxiliary of Children’s Hospital’s Star Performance and Leadership Award.
