Mike Spradley

Activist, filmmaker, talk radio host KNSJ 89.1 FM, freelance writer (Fine magazine, SDGLN).

Mike Spradley is a native San Diegan. He is noted for organizing the first march against hate crimes in the city of San Diego, CA. He is also a respected writer on food, travel, entertainment, politics, public policy, civil rights & LGBTQ culture. After becoming an EMT in 1993, he went on to earn his BS in Liberal Arts with depth studies in Nursing, Human Biology & Geriatric Psychology from Regents College University of New York. He served in the US Navy & Coast Guard Reserves. He has been a professional filmmaker for over twenty years, adjunct faculty on the fire science program at Miramar College & for San Diego Regional Public Safety Training Institute. He is a volunteer PIO (Public Information Officer) for the American Red Cross & works as a media and legislative liaison for numerous not for profits in California. Spradley is the former communications director for Special Delivery San Diego and is an avid supporter of Feeding America with emphasis on seniors, children and the critically ill..
